Beating Children is Fun!
The following video is of British Soldiers serving in Iraq (but I'm sure the U.S. forces are no different) who very casually beat Iraqi children. The man video taping, presumably a British soldier also, thinks of it as a game and cheers his fellow soldier on. Maybe they were "blowing off some steam"[Rush Limbaugh referring to Abu Ghraib scandal].

Disgusting.

Northville SDS
My long absence from posting on this blog has been due to my slow, but hard, work on a local chapter of the newly formed Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). The "new SDS," as it has been called by the media, is a reincarnation of the SDS from the Vietnam war era. My role in the new organization has been organizing the Northville chapter called Northville Students for a Democratic Society. I've been setting up a website, a mailing list, and other material that will assist in actively organizing students to join in the nation wide movement.

I'm urging anyone who is reading this to join one of the SDS chapters or signing up for the nation-wide mailing list for the latest info.

More info on Northville SDS soon, but in the mean time leave me some comments.
